Anyone has the right to request the provision of accessibility to a digital website, mobile application or some element thereof. It is also possible to request that the information be made available by an alternative means of accessibility, for example by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include the details of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is being requested and the means of contact. If the person making the request wishes to receive the information by means of an alternative means of access, they should also specify how the information is to be presented in a way that is convenient for them. The public body should comply with the request without delay and no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public body shall inform the requester without delay when it will be possible to comply with the request, but the deadline shall not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If digital accessibility is not possible, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. Where a public body refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or an alternative means of accessing the information, the requester may lodge a complaint about the provision of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or an element of the website or mobile application. After exhausting the procedure indicated above, a request may also be made to the Ombudsman.

Architectural accessibility

Description of accessibility of the building entrance and passing through control areas
The entrance to the building is equipped with a ramp. The entrance to the Association’s office is through a vestibule that is free of architectural barriers that may pose an obstacle to people with motor difficulties, wheelchair users and parents with children in pushchairs.

Description of accessibility of corridors, stairs and lifts
The Association’s office is located on the first floor of the building. A stairlift is available for wheelchair users.

Information on where and how to use parking spaces designated for disabled people
There is a customer car park with designated disabled parking spaces next to the building on the Association’s property.

Information about the right to enter with an assistance dog and any reasonable restrictions.
In accordance with the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and the employment of people with disabilities, a disabled person with an assistance dog has the right to enter, among others, public facilities, in particular: buildings and their surroundings designated for the needs of public administration, justice, etc., and thus also the building of the Association ‘Euroregion Niemen’. The condition to enter the Association’s building with an assistance dog is that the assistance dog is equipped with a harness and that the disabled person has a certificate confirming the status of an assistance dog and a certificate confirming that the required veterinary vaccinations have been performed. Being able to enter the Association’s building with an assistance dog does not exempt the disabled person from liability for damage caused by the assistance dog. The disabled person is not obliged to muzzle the assistance dog or to keep it on a lead.
